Mayfield Graves YMCA INFORMATION AND POLICIES

Things You Need to Know:

Membership Cards
To gain access to our facility, you must have your membership card with you. If you are a member and do not have your card, we will need to find your in our system. We may need to verify who you are. If you lose your membership card, please notify the front desk staff the next time you visit. You will be charged $5 for the replacement card.  You can also have a copy of your membership card sent to your phone’s digital wallet.  Ask the front desk staff for more information.

Class Cancellation Policy
The Mayfield Graves County YMCA reserves the right to cancel any class. Short-term cancellations will be announced as soon as we have that information. If a class is cancelled, we will announce it on social media.

Proper Attire
We ask that proper gym attire be work while utilizing the gym and pool facilities. Shirts and shoes must be worn in all areas of the YMCA except for our pool and locker rooms. We ask that you wear swim attire in the pool. Closed-toed shoes are required in the equipment area of the gym to avoid injury.

YMCA Code of Conduct
At the Mayfield Graves County YMCA, we expect members, staff, and guests to behave in accordance with our mission and values at all times, respecting the rights and dignity of others. At our YMCA, we demonstrate caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility by speaking in respectful terms; refraining from the use of profanity or derogatory language; resolving conflicts in a respectful, honest, and caring manner; never resorting to physical contact or threatening gestures; respecting the property of others; and never engaging in theft or destruction. Adherence to the YMCA Code of Conduct is essential. Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination of YMCA membership privileges.

Video/Camera Usage Policy
Video recorders, cameras, or any other visual recording devices are not to be used within the locker rooms/restrooms and/or childcare center at the Mayfield Graves County YMCA. Anyone caught taking pictures within said areas of other people without permission and knowledge will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and membership to the YCMA will be revoked. Permission from the Mayfield Graves County YMCA senior staff employee or CEO will be given on a case-by-case basis for those persons wanting to use video-recording devices and/or cameras for recording events/programs in the YMCA facility.

National Reciprocal Agreement
YMCA members may use ANY YMCA at no cost with unlimited usage. Visiting members must check in at each YMCA with a valid membership card, using appropriate check-in procedures. Original memberships must be purchased at the member’s current place of residence. College students currently enrolled will be considered residents of the community where the college is located.

-The Mayfield Graves County YMCA is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles while on YMCA property. We suggest that you leave valuables at home or locked away in a locker that remains locked until you leave.

-The Mayfield Graves County YMCA is not responsible for any accidental injury to members or guests while participating in physical activities at the YMCA. Participants assume this risk. All members and guests must sign a waiver on their first visit that will be kept on file.

-Children under the age of 10 must be always accompanied by an adult (age 18 or older) when they are in the YMCA building.
-Children under 12 are not allowed on equipment unless given a written fitness assessment.
-Children under 5 must have an adult in the pool when swimming. Children 5-9 must have an adult in the pool area when swimming. Children 10-16 must have an adult in the building when swimming.
-Guests of anyone under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a waiver before entering.
-Nursery is only for children 6 weeks to 7 years of age. Children over 8 must be supervised by an adult. Children under 7 must use the nursery.

-All active members must notify us when they wish to cancel. Please visit the front desk to make sure your 30-Day Notice Cancellation form is completely processed.
