Mayfield Graves YMCA Preschool
Our YMCA offers Preschool for children ages three to five years old. We have a cap of 30 children as we believe that it is important for a smaller child to teacher ratio to prepare our preschoolers for kindergarten. The children have a structured daily schedule that includes lessons, crafts, story time, devotions, and a two-hour naptime after lunch. Daily lesson plans are set to follow the KY Kindergarten Readiness Standard. Two meals and a snack are provided to the children and are included in the cost of tuition. To qualify for the preschool program, your child must be at least three years old and completely potty trained before starting.
All students are required to be up to date on all vaccines prior to the start of the school year, as per state regulation.
Our preschool program follows Graves County School System for the school year calendar. Anytime that Graves County is out for fall break, spring break, and holidays, the preschool will be out of school as well. The only exceptions to this might be professional development days and snow days. Close communication is kept with the parents on announcements through messaging and the private Facebook group.
Preschool staff is CPR certified and meet all Kentucky State Child Care requirements.
We accept CCAP as a form of financial assistance. If you have been rejected through CCAP, you are eligible to apply for our Financial Scholarship program. You can download the form here or visit the YMCA front desk.
YMCA members get a weekly discount on tuition rates, as well as priority registration for Preschool, Y’s Guys, and Summer Camp programs.
Fees and Tuition
$30 registration/supply fee
YMCA Members: $20/day or $95/week*
Non-Members: $25/day or $120/week*
*You can receive a $5 discount if you pay on or prior to the beginning of the week. The discount does not apply if you pay on Friday of the same week.
